With fall quickly approaching that
can only mean one thing, New York Fashion Week is in full swing! Many American
designers debuted their upcoming Spring/Summer 2015 collections. New York
Fashion week will be followed by London, Milan and Paris Fashion Week, so
basically it becomes fashion month, a very exciting time for all of the fashion
gurus out there!
This year, menswear inspired trends
dominated the runway! We saw many blazers along with ankle length trousers,
ranging from a boxy fit to very tailored and structured fit. J.Crew, Marc Jacobs
and MaryKate and Ashley Olsen’s line, Elizabeth and James were just a few of
the designers to showcase this trend. I noticed a lot of these suit pieces were
mixed with various textures, another big trend for this upcoming Spring/Summer
season!
BCBG Max Azria, Cynthia Rowley and
Kate Spade (my personal favorite) all showcased outfits with sheer fabric. Kate Spade showed many-structured
button up shirts in a white sheer fabric. She paired these shirts with
structured t-length skirts, another trend that was seen across the runway. Max
Azria used this trend in a variety of ways throughout his show. He displayed
many long sleeved t-length and maxi dresses in a sheer fabric. The dresses were
in muted tones of blue, coral and white.
Even though we saw many earth tones
throught on the runways, vibrant colors aren’t going anywhere! Designers such
as, Kate Spade and Ralph Lauren displayed some very bright, eye-catching
colors! Kate Spade had many vibrant blue and red shirts and dresses in her collection.
They also displayed a bold print on them, a huge trend that was seen throughout
the week! Ralph Lauren surprised us with his upcoming collection! Instead of
showing classic and preppy pieces like you would expect, he opted for a
striking yellow, purple and orange that was seen throughout the collection. He
showcased brightly colored trench coats, all the way to evening gowns! You will
definitely have all eyes on you when you step out in one of Kate Spade’s
dresses or Ralph Lauren’s coats!

Hey everyone! Two days ago I treated myself and I splurged on Urban Decay's Naked 3 palette. I've been eyeing this palette in the stores for the past few months and I'm so happy I finally got it! I'm absolutely in love with the rose gold theme throughout it. I thought I would share an everyday makeup look I've been doing with this palette. Since this palette is pricy, you can find similar eyeshadows, like the Revealed 2 palette by Coastal Scents.
1. Start with your favorite eyeshadow primer. I use Elf for $1.00 and it gets the job done!
2. Apply Limit all over your lid and crease (4th from the left)
3. I mixed Buzz and a little bit of Burnout (3rd + 5th from the left) and put that in the middle to outer corner of my lid
4. To finish it off the eyeshadow , I put Strange on my brow bone and inner corner of my eye
5. I completed the look with my favorite mascara, L'Oreal Butterfly!
The completed look:
Let me know if you try out this makeup look!

Last Sunday I went to a Hunter Hayes, Dan and Shay and Sam Hunt concert! The concert was incredible, I thought I would share with you what I wore that night!
The funny thing about this is when I saw it in the store, I originally thought it was a dress, but when I went to try it on I saw it was a romper. This factor makes it a little more unique and really suitable for a concert! I purchased this romper from Macy's and it was definitely a steal! I've seen this romper in the store for the past couple of months, but I never wanted to pay the full price for it, which was $50. When I went shopping over the weekend this romper was on clearance plus an additional sale was going on, making it only $12! When I found out how cheap it was there was no way I was going to leave without it!
I paired my romper with my light and dark aqua colored necklace and pearl earrings. I thought the necklace helped pull the outfit together by adding more color with the dark aqua and gold. I know you can't see my shoes in the picture, but I wore my black Bandolino sandals I featured in my Marshalls haul post. The black on the sandals matched the lining of the zipper and the gold accents on them matched the gold in my necklace.
If you're shopping on a budget, this time of year is great for shopping! Not only are there many sales for back to school time, you can find some really great deals on clearance racks! I know Macy's, VonMaur, JcPenney and American Eagle have fantastic clearance deals going on right now! Tank tops and t-shirts are great for layering in the fall and winter time, plus you'll be able to wear them in the summer as well! Jean shorts never go out of style, so you can find a great deal on a really nice pair and save them for next year! You might be able to even find some of last years sweaters on clearance too. Trends do change, but nothing changes drastically in just one year. You're safe wearing last years sweater, I bet nobody will even notice! Who can pass up a $10 sweater anyway?
I wanted to share some pictures from the concert! Hunter Hayes is phenomenal live, he's one of the best people I've seen in concert! Dan and Shay and Sam Hunt are really good too, check out their music if you're not familiar with it!

With back-to-school time quickly approaching (in 2 weeks for me), I can't stop thinking about fall fashion. Fall fashion is my favorite part about going back-to-school, who doesn't love cozy sweaters and riding boots? I thought I would share with you my top 5 favorite trends for the upcoming season!
1. Dark floral print. I feel like floral print is always around, but this season we're seeing an exceptional amount of it! From leggings to combat boots, you'll have a tons of ways to show off your floral prints!
2. Jogger pants. Who says we have to sacrifice style for comfort? I have a pair of these pants and they're so comfy! These pants are perfect for those days you don't want to change out of your PJ's, but you still want to look like your put lots of effort into your outfit. These pants were seen all over stores this past spring/summer in light weight fabrics. For fall time I've seen these pants in thicker fleece fabrics, perfect for those cool autumn days! Check out JCPenney, Hollister and Forever 21 to grab an affordable pair!
3. Plaid. Now I think plaid is a classic pattern, but I've been seeing an awful lot of it lately. Fall is the perfect time to break out your flannel shirts. You can wear them oversized with leggings or tuck them into a pair of high-waisted jeans paired with your favorite booties or riding boots for a casual, yet sophisticated look. Not only is plaid found on flannel shirts, but I've seen plaid skirts and pants as well. Pair a plaid skirt with your favorite knit sweater and tights, you instantly have the perfect fall outfit! The skirt pictured above is actually from Bethany Mota's fall 2014 line available now at Aeropostale!
4. Pastels. I'm always wearing pastels, so you have no idea how excited I am about this trend! It's time for a little switcharoo. These lighter shades are especially trendy for fall, you don't have to put away those pastel pants just yet. Try wearing an oversized knit sweater in your favorite pastel color or accessorize an outfit with a pastel scarf!
5. Denim. You're favorite fabric is getting a twist this season! In addition to high-waisted jeans being so so so popular this fall we're seeing denim being used in many different ways besides your classic skinny jeans. Denim vests, acid wash and even the revival of the flared jean have all been trendy for the upcoming season. You'll have lots to choose from when it comes to picking out how you'd like to wear your denim this fall!

Wow..the name for this product is a mouthful! I recently picked up two of Covergirl's lip balms. I originally bought these because I had a $3.00 off coupon when you buy two Covergirl products. I bought these at Kmart when they had their buy one get one 50% off sale, so I ended up paying around $5.00 for both of them!
There are so many colored lip balms in drugstores now! From Maybelline's Baby Lips, L'Oreal's Colour Riche balms, it can be hard to decide which one to buy. I've been looking for a product that is similar to baby lips, but has more colors to choose from. I love L'Oreal's colored balm, but $10.00 for one can add up quick! Covergirl's balm was $5.25 at Kmart, that's half the price! I'm not sure why I haven't tried these before, but I figured with the sale and coupon I had, now would be a perfect time to pick up a few!

The two colors I got are #text me and #sweet tweet. I didn't realize how different the names were compared to other products until I got home. I found this product to be extremely similar to Covergirl's Nature Luxe lip balms that were out a couple years ago. I'm actually really happy I tried these because I really liked the Nature Luxe balm until it was discontinued.
Both colors leave your lips moisturized for about 2-3 hours, but the color doesn't last that long. As soon as you eat or drink the color fades quickly. I don't find this a huge problem for me because I can just re apply it again, but if you're looking for something to last all day, this might not be the best option for you. Since this is a balm, the color is on the sheer side, but you definitely can build it up. I like this about the balm because it makes it perfect for everyday wear.
Below is what #text me looked like when I put it on.
This is a pink/red berry color. I know I'll be wearing this A LOT for fall time! This color looks really dark in the tube, however when applied, it is definitely lighter. You can build up the color to look as dark as it does on the tube, it will just take a few coats! I like how this looks when it is left with one or two coats. This is great for everyday wear when you want some color, but not a bold lip.
Below is what #sweet tweet looked like when I applied it.
I like to think of this at a BB Cream for your lips! When I applied this, I didn't notice a big color pay off. It added a little pink tint to my lips, but mostly just some sparkle and glossiness. This is a perfect color for when you want to even out your lip tone or add a little something extra to them, but still look natural at the same time. This color is actually the exact same color as the Nature Luxe lip balm I used to get, it even smells the same (they smell really good)!
Overall, I would purchase this product again. I saw that Covergirl just added a few darker colors that I would like to try! I would probably buy more of the medium-darker shades if I bought more because they won't appear as dark on your lips when you apply it. Due to the sheerness of the balm, the color will vary slightly depending on your natural lip shade.
Let me know if you try these out and what you think!

Now that it's August I feel like everyone is in back to school mode, at least the stores are! I go back in exactly three weeks, so I should probably start thinking about school, but I'm loving summer too much! For the last week of the Keds Bravehearts contest people had to put together a back to school outfit. Here's my outfit I picked out!
What I'm wearing: Dress JCPenney; Cardigan + Belt + Necklace Forever 21; Shoes Keds
I figured for your first day of school you want to look cute, put together, but still comfortable. I thought this outfit covered all of that! I paired a flowy high low dress with a light weight cardigan and put a belt around my waist to add some shape. Just because fall is around the corner doesn't mean you have to put those floral dresses away just yet! Darker floral patterns are popular for fall, so I thought this dress was perfect! It's a little on the darker side, but still has a springy vibe. A floral dress paired with a cardigan or sweater like I did above is a great way to transition your favorite summer pieces into the perfect fall outfit!
