How I Stay Organized in 2018

How do I stay organized? With a planner. Planners are my go-to. I grew up using them throughout school, so I've carried that method into my everyday life.

When the new year rolls around,  I'm always on the hunt for the perfect planner to get through the next 365 days with me. This year I wanted to find one that was a little more unique than a traditional planner you can buy at Target or Office Max.

After a little bit of research, I ordered the 2018 Vintage Floral Vision Planner off of Amazon from the brand Bloom Daily Planners. This company is run by all females, and their goal is to help other women grow and become the best versions of themselves by using their planners.

The planner is setup in a way that helps you create a vision for your year. Now, I don't know about you, but the setup of my planner plays a huge role as to whether or not I purchase it. I love how this particular planner focuses on achieving all of your goals and dreams. Yes, you read that right. Achieving your goals and dreams in one year (well, what you want to accomplish in a year) is made easy with this planner.

In the beginning there is an area to write down 5 goals, places you want to visit, books you want to read, new things you want to try, what you want to improve on, and what you're grateful for. I'm a visual person, so filling out this section helped me A LOT when it came to putting my life into perspective. There is also a bucket list for the year; who doesn't love creating those?

After you have your goals set for the year, each month has a vision and making it happen spread where you can write out what you will do each week to achieve them. Let me tell you, this has been EXTREMELY helpful. I'm able to easily tackle goals that felt overwhelming to me before--such an amazing feeling! Following this, is your traditional monthly calendar. This helps me so so so much when it comes to organizing my work schedule and keeping track of appointments and article due dates.

After this, you have weekly spreads that show individual days. My planner needs to have this type of spread in addition to a monthly calendar. I use this portion to write to do lists, and it has an area where I can keep track of how much water I drink throughout the day.

Now it's time for my favorite part of the Bloom planners: Inspirational quotes. Within each planner, Bloom adds motivating quotes to each week like, "Be patient with yourself, nothing in nature blooms all year" and "Wakeup each day excited to bloom in a new way." I love this SO much, it's such a subtle way to add a touch of positivity to your week.

Bloom is my favorite planner company, and I would love for you to try out their fantastic products too! To get 10% off your purchase of 25 dollars or more until February fourth, use my link here.

Have a beautiful day!

December 2017 Favorites

Monday, January 1, 2018

Hello beautiful friends! I hope you're New Year is off to a fantastic start.

Now that 2018 has officially arrived and December has come to an end, it's about time I share with you some of my favorite products from this past month. That's probably not a surprise though, the title says it all.

I'll admit when it came to testing out new products or putting together new outfits this month, I was slacking quite a bit. Working at Walt Disney World during the holidays is crazy, very tiring, and a bit overwhelming, but would I trade my experience from it? Not at all. Since the mouse kept me busy, I don't have as many products to share as I usually do, but here are a few that I found myself grabbing day after day.

1. Bath and Body Work Vanilla Bean Noel Body Butter
I.Love.Body.Butter.  From the packing and scent to the moisturizing effect, everything about this product is perfect. When December arrives, I always make sure to pick up this scent from Bath and Body Works. This year I decided to try out the body butter, and it's safe to say I'll be getting this every year. The body butter make my skin extremely soft and it actually keeps my skin moisturized for 24 hours. The scent reminds me of cupcakes, and who doesn't love cupcakes?

2. Maple Holistics Argan Oil Shampoo and Conditioner

I've been looking to try out more body, hair, and skin care products that contain less harsh chemicals and more natural ingredients. The shampoo and conditioner set from Maple Holistics is a great all natural hair care option. It's sulfate-free, fragrance-free and hypoallergenic.

The shampoo is made up of jojoba oil, almond oil, peach kernel, camellia seed, avocado, and botanical keratin with the main ingredient being argan oil. The conditioner is made up of aloe vera, shea butter, organic pomegranate, hibiscus, green tea, and sea buckthorn with the main ingredient being argan oil like the shampoo.

When using this set I noticed my hair was shinier and softer than normal. However, the only downside was that the shampoo made my hair a little more tangled than normal. I'm not sure if that is because I have long hair, or it's because of the natural ingredients. Overall, I would recommend giving this product a try if you're looking to switch to an all natural, sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner. You can try this product for free by signing up for their free sample program.

3. Disney Necklace

This was a gift I got for Christmas, so it's still new, but ever since I got it, I have worn it almost everyday. This necklace says, "If you can dream it, you can do it." It's a quote from Walt Disney that means a lot to me. It reminds me that I can accomplish anything I set my mind to, and no dream is too big to achieve.

I've been wearing the necklace with my silver Minnie Mouse bangle my roommate got me for Christmas. Both have gotten a lot of use towards the end of the month, and go so well together.

4. Revlon Lipstick 'Pink in the Afternoon'

Over the summer, I found out the exact lipstick Audrey Hepburn wears in Breakfast At Tiffany's, so naturally I had to buy it. It's the shade 'Pink in the Afternoon' by Revlon. It took me a few trips to various stores to find it, but I finally found it at Ulta. This past month, I found myself always grabbing this lip color when I needed a natural shade. It's the perfect peachy-pink shade that can be worn for any occasion.

5. Rose Gold

My last favorite is a little broad. This past month, I've had a minor obsession with just about anything rose gold colored. From sequin Minne Mouse ears and jewelry, to eyeshadow, clothing, and Starbuck's cups, you name it I most likely have it in this trendy hue. The best part? It looks like rose gold is here to stay in 2018!

Let me know in the comments what some of your favorite products or trends were throughout December, I'd love to hear what you've been into!
