Disney College Program Bucket List

Tuesday, March 28, 2017

I found out a little less than a month ago that I was accepted into the Disney College Program for the fall 2017 season! On August 14, I'll be moving to my favorite place: Walt Disney World! This is so exciting for me, and I can't believe it's actually happening. As I'm sure you can tell from my previous blog posts, I definitely have a love for Disney. I gain so much style and beauty inspiration from the characters and movies, it just felt like the right choice to participate in the program.

While I'm in Disney, I'll be working as a merchandise cast member. I'll be assigned to a store at one of the four parks, or Disney Springs to work at. I've never been so excited to start a job, and I can't wait to begin making Magical Moments for guests!

While I'm not working, I definitely want to explore the parks, and Orlando as much as I can. I've seen this tag done quite a bit on YouTube, so to get to the point, I'm going to be sharing my DCP bucket list of all the activities I hope to do while I'm in Florida!

1. Visit all four parks in one day
2. Work in all four parks
3. Walk down Main Street after Magic Kingdom is closed

25. Spend one day at each park
26. Go to character dining
27. Eat at 50's Prime Time Cafe
28. Go to Cast Connections
29. Get my picture in front of every main point of each park (Cinderella's Castle, Tree of Life, Spaceship Earth, The Sorcerer's Hat)
30. Ride the monorail
31. Go to Mickey's Royal Friendship Faire
32. Meet Olaf
33. Go to Universal Studios
34. Take pictures for a blog post in the parks
35. Go to The Dress Shop on Cherry Tree Lane
36. Eat a Mickey waffle (this will probably happen a few time)
37. Take Polaroid pictures around the parks
38. Eat a Mickey ice-cream bar
39. Try Dole Whip
40. Go the taping of the Christmas parade

There are a ton of things I want to do while I'm in Orlando. I'll definitely keep my blog updated on my adventures around Disney and Florida. I can't wait to incorporate more Disney themed posts; some style and beauty, others not. I think it's going to be such an amazing experience meeting so many new people, and making friendships I'll never forget. I cannot wait for this journey to begin. As Walt Disney said, "All our dreams can come true, if you have the courage to pursue them."

Your Weekend Getaway Checklist

Friday, July 8, 2016

I'm sure you can tell by now, but I love to travel! So when I was inspired by HomeAway to create a beach essentials checklist, I was thrilled! HomeAway is a website that makes it super easy for you to rent vacation houses, cabins and beach houses all around the world.

During the summer, I find myself traveling a lot. Whether it be a week long vacation, or a weekend road trip with my friends, I always make sure to bring the five items above (especially if I'm heading to a beach).

When I'm spending countless hours in the sun, taking care of my skin is my first priority. That's why a lip balm with SPF and Neutrogena's Beach Defense sunscreen is a must--you know this stuff must be great because I managed not to get sunburnt in the Caribbean. Wearing a sun hat is another great way to protect your skin; it's cute and fashionable, what's not to love? While I'm relaxing on the beach, reading is probably one of my favorite past times. I'm always down for a good Nicholas Sparks romance. And lastly, my phone is an absolute must. I use it to listen to music, plus I have to capture those picture perfect moments.

Let me know in the comments below what some of your travel essentials are! Start creating your unforgettable weekend with HomeAway!
